Trust & Integrity
At Care Cura, ethics and compliance are at the heart of everything we do. We provide care that respects dignity, protects privacy, and adheres to the highest standards of integrity.
A strong code of ethics establishes clear standards of behavior for everyone who represents Care Cura, builds trust with the families we serve, improves morale, mitigates legal risk, and demonstrates social responsibility. Our program promotes honesty, fairness, respect, and accountability in every aspect of our work.
We are committed to meeting the needs of clients, families, and partners while complying with all relevant California and federal laws. Our compliance framework is aligned with the seven fundamental elements of an effective compliance program.
Code of EthicsOur Code of Ethics explains why ethical behavior is essential to our mission and how it guides decision-making. It applies to everyone who represents Care Cura — employees, contractors, officers, and directors — as well as suppliers and partners who support our services.
We are driven by compassion, integrity, respect for individuals, fairness, and a commitment to client-centered care. These values underpin every policy and procedure we adopt.
Our standards address key ethical topics: client privacy, informed consent, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, accurate record-keeping, and environmental responsibility. All employees receive training on these standards to ensure consistent understanding and behavior.
We set clear disciplinary measures for non-compliance and encourage employees to report suspected violations through secure channels. Reports can be made anonymously, and whistleblowers are protected from retaliation.
Our code is reviewed and updated regularly to stay aligned with evolving laws, ethical norms, and industry best practices. Updates are communicated to employees and stakeholders, with ongoing training to reinforce compliance.
Compliance ProgramOur program follows the seven elements of an effective compliance program. These integrated elements work together to prevent, detect, and respond to issues while fostering a culture of compliance.
Written policies, procedures, and standards of conduct guide daily operations and ethical decision-making.
A designated compliance officer and committee provide leadership, oversight, and support across the organization.
Ongoing training and education for all personnel, embedding compliance into performance evaluations.
Open channels for asking questions, reporting concerns, and providing feedback — including anonymous hotlines.
Regular monitoring and audits help identify risks and measure program effectiveness.
Standards are enforced through fair and well-publicized disciplinary guidelines, consistently applied.
We respond promptly to detected issues, address root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Our leadership team actively supports and lives our compliance values, reinforcing that ethical conduct is everyone's responsibility.
"Integrity is the foundation of the care we deliver. We empower our team to do the right thing, every time."
— Ahmad Omarzai, Founder & CEO
